There’s nothing quite like Halloween morning in North County San Diego. This year, we kept the tradition alive by gathering at Grandview Beach for a Halloween dawn patrol surf session. Costumes? Check. Boards? Ready. Waves? Good enough!
Everybody arrived in their best costumes, turning the break into a lively display of creativity, from spooky to clever. As the sun rose, the water was filled with colorful outfits and plenty of good vibes. It’s not every day you see a hot dog dropping in on a wave or a luchador riding down the line.
A special shoutout to everyone who braved the chilly morning to make this morning so fun. Surfing in costume isn’t just about the laughs—it’s about celebrating the unique culture that brings us all together as a surf community.
